This première release recording brings together some of Bach's most charming works in an invigorating and stylish recital, featuring excellent soloists under the baton of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, who in 2000 was honoured with the Berlin Philharmonic's highest honour: the Hans von Bülow medal.
Harnoncourt is responsible for the recent re-evaluation of pre-classical music: his Bach concertos (like the one presented here) are always an enlightened, adventurous pleasure.
