Produktbeskrivelse

Founded on a core of wind instruments – shawm, sackbut and recorder – plus organ and voice, the Early Music America award-winning ensemble, Ciaramella, has been praised for performing medieval and early Renaissance music `with the ease of jazz musicians improvising on a theme´. This recording combines sacred music with reconstructions of folk-songs and arrangements based on contemporary improvisation. The ensemble Ciaramella have been performing together since 2003, touring across the whole of America, presenting early music in new and exciting ways. `There is no way to resist Ciaramella´s immediately communicative music-making. This nonet of recorder, shawm, bagpipe, slide trumpet, sackbut, percussion and organ players and singers goes about its artistic business with utmost enthusiasm and expressive zest.´ The Cleveland Dealer.
